Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)

My stats are

TEAS:

82% Overall

-Reading: 85.1%

-Math: 87.5%

-Science: 78.7%

-English and Language Use: 75.0%

GPA: 3.9 Overall

I'm going tomorrow! Will let u know how it goes.

Has anyone done the interview for the waitlist? Just curious how it went and if they gave any additional info to you during it regarding the process of the waitlist?

I had my interview today and it went well. They did not mention much about the process afterwards besides that we can hear back up to a day before orientation because it all depends on when or if someone declines their offer or decides last minute that they will not be attending.

My stats aren't that great but I have a pre-req gpa of 3.67, science gpa of 3.25 and scored a 79.8 on the TEAS.

Thank you. Those are competitive scores, I believe. What questions did they ask you in your interview and approximately how long did it take? TIA.

I also had my interview today. And was told the same as the person above mentioned. I interviewed for the waitlist :/ so the wait continues...

They asked the same three questions on the application regarding study habits, what attributes you believe are important for a nurse to have. They asked about your personal statement, your experiences, and like two scenario questions that were very easy to answer that did not necessarily need a medical experience answer more of how does it relate to you and it was more of a conversation for me rather than a list of questions. Hope that helps!
