UTMB Fall 2013

Hello! I searched the site and seen no one made a topic about the people trying to enter in Fall 2013 so here is it :up: I am applying to UTMB for Fall 2013. I've written my personal statement and filled in the application. Now i'm waiting on nursing CAS to receive all my transcripts and to take my TEAS test on Jan. 8. I'm so nervous. How is everyone else coming along?

Congrats decisions!!! What were your stats if u don't mind sharing? I'm from Houston and I haven't heard bk from utmb but if I did I think it really just depends on how deep in Houston u are. If your living close to the beltway 8 & 45 south area it's a doable drive...however if u live in north Houston or Katy area then I wouldn't recommend it. Honestly from what I heard u only actually have classes on campus a few days a week sooo you wouldn't have to drive to the island 5 days a week. But Yess hunny congrats to you! My sister went to UTMB a couple of years ago. She drove back and forth Mon-Thurs. I mean, I don't mind the drive, but it's still a hassle.

My stats aren't that great tbh. My overall GPA is only a 3.1. My science GPA is a 3.7. But my test score was really great, 99%. But other than that, I'm honestly surprised I got in.

My sister went to UTMB a couple of years ago. She drove back and forth Mon-Thurs. I mean, I don't mind the drive, but it's still a hassle.

Whoa ! With a %99 on your teas and your surprised you got in?! Lol!! I would have been surprised if you DIDN'T get in! Lol..., but SW as you know is about an hour and 15 minute drive , I live on the SW too so +two hours everyday hmmmm...I wld probably consider moving closer to Galveston maybe half way in clear lake area or even Galveston itself, something about living on an island just seems great to me lol even if the beach water resembles a bayou/sewer lol,,

Has anyone heard like anything?! I'm getting so anxious! Its making me nervous, not hearing anything.

And if you get wait-listed, do they send you an email or call?

O man you have family in Galveston? Thats the BEST option for sure!,, it was meant to be lol no reason to feel awkward, the programs only a year in length if I'm not mistaking, 3.1 is not that low, heck mine was a 3.19 before nursing calculated it as a 2.8 which DEVASTATED me initially, butt I'm trying to stay a little optimistic lol,,..then again I didn't score a %99 on my teas Geeze ! I'm getting worried now yall lol..:-/

Hey everyone!

So I just found this whole website, and I'm not really sure how it all works yet! Haha Anyways, I just got accepted for Fall 2013, and I am really nervous about meeting new people and trying to find roommates and all of that! Please feel free to talk to me! Also, has anybody started looking at living arrangements? I just feel so overwhelmed with the whole process! Especially because I don't know anybody as of now to live with!
