Hello! I searched the site and seen no one made a topic about the people trying to enter in Fall 2013 so here is it I am applying to UTMB for Fall 2013. I've written my personal statement and filled in the application. Now i'm waiting on nursing CAS to receive all my transcripts and to take my TEAS test on Jan. 8. I'm so nervous. How is everyone else coming along?
I live in SW Houston. Lol.My sister went to UTMB a couple of years ago. She drove back and forth Mon-Thurs. I mean, I don't mind the drive, but it's still a hassle.
My stats aren't that great . My overall GPA is only a 3.1. My science GPA is a 3.7. But my test score was really great, 99%. But other than that, I'm honestly surprised I got in.
Whoa ! With a %99 on your teas and your surprised you got in?! Lol!! I would have been surprised if you DIDN'T get in! Lol..., but SW as you know is about an hour and 15 minute drive , I live on the SW too so +two hours everyday hmmmm...I wld probably consider moving closer to Galveston maybe half way in clear lake area or even Galveston itself, something about living on an island just seems great to me lol even if the beach water resembles a bayou/sewer lol,,

My surprise was mainly due to my overall GPA. It's pretty low.
I have cousins in Galveston that I could stay with. My family thinks that would be the best decision. But I don't know. I think I would feel sort of awkward just living there to go to school and leaving back to Houston for the weekends.
Has anyone heard like anything?! I'm getting so anxious! Its making me nervous, not hearing anything. And if you get wait-listed, do they send you an email or call?
Lol Jen I feel the sameeeeeee way you do trustttt me lol these last weeks of April will be agonyyyyyy, agony I tell u agony! :) ,,

O man you have family in Galveston? Thats the BEST option for sure!,, it was meant to be lol no reason to feel awkward, the programs only a year in length if I'm not mistaking, 3.1 is not that low, heck mine was a 3.19 before nursing calculated it as a 2.8 which DEVASTATED me initially, butt I'm trying to stay a little optimistic lol,,..then again I didn't score a %99 on my teas Geeze ! I'm getting worried now yall lol..:-/
