First of all, what is the difference between utilization review and record reviewer? Are these jobs as rewarding as bedside nursing? Do you think it's ethical to use my employment in this position as a way out of bedside nursing? I'm already feeling burnt out, and I think I need to breakaway from it. Any Utilization review nurses who would like to share with me their stories and thoughts?
I appreciate it very much

of course it depends on the particular hospital but I think the difference would be UR works with the insurance companies and such making sure things get paid for. records reviewer works for the hospital making sure charting is done according to hospital policy
