UTHSCSA-Fall 2011

Hi All,

Since January 10th was the application deadline, do any of you have an idea as to when the earliest when we will hear from UTHSC-San Antonio? I already have my bachelor's degree in a non-nursing subject but I opted for the 2-year traditional route because the accelerated program just seemed too intense. Are there other 2nd degree folks out there applying to the 2 year program as well? Good luck to you all! I hope we are all there in the Fall!

Hi all, I'm actually applying for the Spring 2011 cycle but something on the website (and here) caught my attention. Is it MANDATORY to buy a new laptop from the bookstore? Is it because they want the most recent (Windows 7) to avoid possible technical difficulties? Just curious. Congratulations to all accepted :)

Does someone want to start a HSC Fall 2011 Group on FB? I know other classes have them but refer to themselves by their graduation month/year....so we would be May 2013. I elect someone other than myself to be in charge!

From what I heard the comp is super mandatory. Not looking forward to that. If they wanted to reduce tech diff they wouldn't include Macbooks in their options. I have had a bear of a time though out school using an iMac as compared to a pc.

PAMQ this is what my e-mail said about those documents

"Please print, sign, and return the Response Sheet, Code of Conduct Form, and Security Acknowledgement as soon as possible, but no later than noon on Tuesday, April 19, 2011."

Those 3 seems to be most important.

I think we all should have received an email at this point. You might want to call in or email Brandy Allred because she's the one sending all that out.

Has anyone received their school email? I went this Friday to turn in my immunizations, proof of insurance and to pay my matriculation fee and they wouldn't take it, guess I was getting ahead of myself lol... but they said to wait to receive the school email but I haven't gotten it yet.

I haven't gotten it yet. I figure that will be the next e-mail from them. Oh yeah and they said to wait for further info on when the fee is due. I really want the info on the background check so I can get that done. I've heard it can take a while to go through.

I actually went by the clinic to drop off my immunization and proof of insurance, and they took it. Maybe it's just to hold off on the matriculation fee? And from what i remember--isn't the matriculation fee just added to the total bill?

From what I understand, you have to pay the matriculation fee early (whenever they tell you), but then they apply that fee to your total bill.
