I know it's early, but I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning to apply to UTHSC for the Summer 2015 session. I am hoping to go the Pacesetter route. I currently have a degree in Communications and I'm finally able to change careers and follow my dream. I'm a high-school teacher that will be resigning in June when the school year ends. I have a lot of prereqs already taken, but have a few to go, as well. I'm currently taking Intro to Pscyh online, will take Lifespan in May, and Intro to Soci and and A&P I & II over the summer.
If you are applying to start in this summer session too, please join in the discussion! We'll need to lean on each other as we go through this tough (but wonderful) process!
Anyone else out there?
Good Luck in advance!
I just got accepted. I didn't get an email, nor did I get a transcript eval. I just logged into myUT and saw the green check with "accepted." I clicked on accept and paid the $200.
There were tears in my eyes. It's been emotional.
My stats are in this thread somewhere or the other one. As a rough guide, my Science GPA is 3.8, Nursing GPA 4.0, Prereque GPA 3.8. HESI overall was 94 (I think) with an 830 on CT. I forgot to do the learning styles bit on the HESI I was so nervous.
Congratulations to everyone who got in!
To those who didn't or won't, don't give up. I didn't get accepted last year. I was bummed.
Yes, Skwidward. Mine shows the same. Like you all know the hepatitis B series will take 6 month to complete. 1st dose, 2nd dose 4 weeks after 1st dose, and 3 dose is 6 months after 1st dose.
I took mine kinda not in the timeframe. For example, i took my 2nd dose 4 months after my 1st dose. I am scared now..
Congrats to all that have been accepted! I am a J1 so I can tell you a bit about my schedule this semester. Please take this with a grain of salt, because summer is shorter so hours at school will be longer.
Mon- health assessment lecture 8-9, 2 hr lab that begins anytime between 9:15 and 1:45. (you'll get your assigned time the weekend before school starts)
Tues- 8-12 care lecture, care lab 12-4 (lab only for the 1st 6 weeks)
Wed- Pharm 8-11, Patho 1-4
We have (1) 10 hour clinical day per week, after the first 6 weeks. It could be any day between Thursday and Sunday. This was assigned the first couple of weeks.
Again, this is for a 16 week semester, which summer will not be.
