UTHSC at Houston FNP MSN Interview vs Acceptance

I just had an interview for UTHSC houston's FNP MSN program... hoping intensely that I made it in but I have to wait another half a month!!!

so now I'm wondering if anyone knows what percentage of interviewed applicants get accepted into the program?

or even if you have anything interesting to say about the UTHSC Houston, or FNP programs

I applied for the acute care NP program for fall and received email for interview yesterday for placement of summer and fall applicants

I interviewed earlier this month and it was too early for him to know when they would be done interviewing... but he did say probably late March- mid April we would hear something!

I interviewed on March 20th as well, how'd your interview go? It sounds like we have about a month wait before we hear anything. I am hoping we hear something sooner. Did you apply at any other schools?

When I had my interview he said the same thing about mid to late April. I'm just hope I'll know by my graduation. Do you know why they wanted a picture of us?

I'd like to start in the Summer, to get a couple of classes out of the way and lighten up the other semesters a little.

I'm not sure why they wanted the picture... I know that the director interviews all the applicants (~70) and then I'm wondering if maybe he meets with an admissions committee to decide who gets accepted? So maybe they have the pictures for them or for him to remember who everyone is? lol I don't know.

I got email for interview last Wednesday and interviewed the following day. She said they will be mailing out acceptance packets the week of 4/15. She said you should receive something in the mail by 4/19. There are approx. 180 applicants for 100 spots. I chose starting in summer full-time. They are still interviewing over the next 2 weeks. Hope this helps!
