Hello everyone! This thread is for everyone applying to the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. I believe they will be accepting applications from January 15-April 1, so the sooner the better! Their admission requirements are pretty standard:
Minimum Pre-Req Gpa: 2.75
Minimum Science Gpa: 3.0
Minimum HESI A2 score: 75% or higher on all required sections - math, reading comprehension, vocabulary/general knowledge, grammar, anatomy and physiology, critical thinking.
My info is really not that competitive, but I'm going to give it a shot anyways -
Pre-Req Gpa: 3.30
Science Gpa: 3.0 (Barely cutting it! )
Overall Gpa: 3.28
Hesi score: 93.3% overall, with my lowest score being a 90.
My gpa is not the best, but I still have 3 more classes to finish this semester, and I'm aiming for all A's! I think the best thing I have going for me is my HESI scores.
Anyone else planning on applying? What are your stats? Any questions? Lets hear them, and good luck to all who are applying!
Oh okay, well thanks anyways.. I am sure if I do not get accepted I will call and find out. I can't just be left in the dark. Especially if I felt that my scores were competitive enough that I deserved a spot.
Well the mail has come and I have nothing from UTHSC. MyUTH has been down all day! What could this possibly mean? Surely mail to Katy would arrive in 2 days!!
I don't think anybody that has been accepted has received their official acceptance letter yet. I've already checked my mail (Baytown) and have yet to receive mine.
Did anybody get an email saying " Update to your application - Check now"? My status hasn't changed (I just checked), so I am wondering if it is a program automated email to everyone.......
@Hemphia - yup, got the same one just few minutes ago. Same exact thing, checked everything, everything is the same. It seems very "form letterish" to me.
