UTHealth Cizik FALL 2021 - BSN

Published

Hello!

I applied for the first time to UTHealth Cizik for Fall 2021. We can help each other and keep each other updated on information over applications. Good luck to everyone!

yes, the webinar was yesterday at 12:00, but it just went over stuff that was already on the page for the pacesetter BSN requirements.

We should be hearing back around the first week of May or the second. That's what was said on the webinar.

I thought we hear back in June?

The webpage says June but was told on the webinar I attended mid-march that we should hear back the first or second week of May. They might have changed it. Hopefully, this helps!

Hey! Was that webinar recently?

It was back in mid-March the webinar I attended.

Do any of y'all applying have prerequisites left to take? I have two that I will have completed by the start of the program, but I am not sure how the admissions people will see that. I am worried this will be negative for me as an applicant.

I’m currently taking my last few pre-requisites, graduate in may & will also be done before the fall start. As long as we send our final transcripts once we graduate I don’t think it will count against us. ?

This is my first time applying and I have one remaining prereq that in currently taking! It shouldn’t effect you negatively. Reading through past posts on here from other semesters, people have gotten in with remaining prereqs.

Hi everyone!

This is my first time applying to UT Health and was wondering if someone could give me thoughts on my chances.

HESI:90.8

reading: 94%

Grammar: 90%

Vocab: 90%

A&P:88%

Math: 92%

Science GPA: 3.79

Prereq GPA: 3.84

I do have a non-nursing bachelor's degree completed as well in Nutrition with a pre-professional health destination (minors in Chemistry and biology).

Thank you and good luck everyone!!

No-one can really say what your chances are, but there are certainly people who have got in with a lower GPA and HESI than you

Does anyone know if general psych is acceptable as AP credit at Cizik? I saw they do accept AP for prerequisites but not for science courses. I’m unsure if psychology counts as one of their hard “sciences”.
It is listed as credit on my college transcript and did serve as the prerequisite for me to take growth and sociology.

Thank you!

Hey guys I was accepted into the Summer start but am worried that I won’t have everything done in time (may 14th) I’m currently waiting to hear back from the Board of nursing with an outcome letter regarding something being on my background check. I’m hoping I will get a clearance letter before the deadline but I’m worried I won’t.  I had applied for the fall semester before the deadline. Does anyone know if you are not able to start the program you were accepted into, if they will let you start the next semester? Or do I have to hope that I will get accepted in again?

Hey Chelsea,

I don't know information bout that but the admission officer said that you have to complete the admittance requirements before you start or they won't allow you to get in. But that's just what I heard back in March, so I would call them in ask because maybe they can make an exception. Also, since you got admitted do you think I can get in with a 3.95 GPA and a HESI score of 88? Just asking because their admitted student thing is kind of hectic, it seems kind of like a lottery when choosing students. Like some students have a low GPA and a high HESI or a High GPA and a Low to Average HESI. Kind of nervous if I'll get in or not to be honest.
