I am applying for the FNP program at both University of Texas Arlington, and Texas Women's University. I was wondering if anyone had reviews of either of these programs, or any pointers for being successful in these programs.
I have heard so many horror stories of advanced Patho, and would love any information to assist in getting through this class.
Thanks in advance for your insight!!

I have taken advanced patho in twu in houston and got a 100. I do not feel like I learned very much in this course because it was all discussion boards two group projects and essay exams. I never really studied anything and have been disappointed with this course. I am taking pharmacology this semester and am nervous at the vast amount of information I have already started learning from recorded lectures. I feel like this course at least for me will be much more difficult but also more rewarding.

Mommy2be, how would you recommend studying for the advanced Path class. I am taking it online this semester.
When I took the class we didn't have any timed exams it was all essays so you have time to write them out but my professor graded easily and we just had two group presentations on PowerPoint but we didn't have to really present anything just turn it in and do some discussion questions with it.
It looks like I am in the same boat. I am in group A (Houston ACNP). We'll see how it pans out. Fingers crossed.
