UTA Spring 2021 AO BSN/BSN Cohort

Published

Is anyone else applying this June for the Spring 2021 Cohort, either the AO BSN or the BSN?

I'm currently taking CHEM 1451 and STAT 1308. If I pass these classes all I have left are Path and Pharm. I received a B for Microbiology, so I will be retaking that I think, and most likely CHEM & STAT. I received a C for the HIST 1312 US History since 1865, I took it at UTA, if I retake it at my local community college can I ask to replace the grade? Additionally, does anyone know if an Associate's in Science counts as a previous degree?

Don't forget!

  • Check your vaccinations! Start getting them squared away now! Especially the Hep B titers.
  • If you're from outside the US and have had the BCG vaccine, you will need the T-Spot or QuantiFERON blood test (which you probably already knew).
  • TEAS should be taken no later than 4/1/2020 (per the advisor).

Application deadline is June 1st!

I tried anylabtest now yesterday but was looking for an alternative option! However, I just got my titer results sent to me right now by email. Im having a little trouble reading them. Can anyone help?

If I can see the results I can help you interpret them.

Off the waitlist! I accepted the offer yesterday via email for the AO BSN. I can't express how I feel right now. Shocking really!  Good luck to everyone! Its not over yet.?

Congrats! Can I ask what location you applied for? I’m in San Antonio so I’m just trying to get an idea of how likely I’ll get off this waitlist.

Dallas, TX. I received a email if I had my immunization ready to go and then after that I was offered a spot. It was a weird process I think because it was via email. No call just a email.

@Mgfuturern Can I ask what your scores were?

@Charoldnurse 7.6 partnership

I haven’t received a call or email yet, I am surprised ( 8.8) but at this point not holding my breath and moving forward. I confirmed that my points were calculated correctly, sent in the form to stay on the waitlist, shots, BON Blue card and everything else is ready to go

I got in with a 7.68. Patho completed. Currently in pharm. I was called then emailed.

@Salazar1217: that makes no sense to me , I am confused on their process- are you partnered, is that why you were called even though my total points are higher?  And you are doing AO not campus based, correct?

His earlier comments say he is campus based which I believe is less competitive than AO. From what I can tell, your scores matter much less than if someone is partnered or an alternate, which is crazy considering your scores are so high. UTA doesnt track how many AO students are accepted based on being partnered either so there is no way to know if this program is a de facto nurse upgrade for hospitals or if its actually supposed to do more than get students hopes up and bleed them for every dollar they can till they give up.

@Salazar1217 Same question. are you partnered? I have a score a little higher than yours. Patho completed. also, currently in pharm. Thanks!!

@CombatMedic68W question. did you complete patho/pharm?
