Here's the deal about concepts - you will likely get several different answers regarding the difficulty. Personally, I found it interesting and easy, but I came to class everyday, participated as I was asked, etc. The cornerstone of the class is critical thinking, which can be an abstract/difficult concept for some to understand. In retrospect, I think it's appropriate and very doable to take with any science, particularly if you're a good student. One additional thing I'd add is that I could see how this class really helps with discernment of the nursing career, and whether or not it's a good career fit for some people. You learn a lot about nursing theory, clinical judgement, etc. Good luck!
i took uta intro to professional nursing in the fall which is the same as concepts to professional nursing. the only difference is its a 3hr class combo of intro to nursing and concepts. the class was super easy. There were only quizes and a final exam. there were no tests. we also had to do a portfolio which was a big precentage of our grade. that was really it.
hi everyone,
I was wondering for those who were accepted into the program, did u complete the 3 required pre- nursing courses (Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, & Intro. to Nursing) before starting the first official semester of the Nursing Program at UTA? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
