UTA Arlington FNP Online Fall 2019

Anyone attending UTA FNP program starting in Fall 2019? Looking for others, maybe have a study group.

im very interested in this program! but im not sure how online classes would be like. I'm also worried, because my fiance and i are planning to be married in November and possible move...(differnt city).. im kind of worried if this can be "doable" with my life right now... i work 5 days a week at a clinic, i feel like i can do this, but im not sure since i dont know what to expect ... any advice would be great. thank you!

Classes are one at a time with a week break in between. That’s what I’ve been told. Probably a little longer with holidays.

We should start a Facebook group. We can share study guides and tips.

I’m nervous about clinical sites. They really make it known that your fully responsible for finding them. I heard all programs, mostly everywhere, make you find your own anyways.

Congrats! I really am nervous about the clinical sites too. I think we just have to get a move on it quick and make tons of phone calls, be aggressive and get it done. That's my plan anyway!

Exciting!!!! I believe you can but I am basing that on the last program I did with UTA. Some of our classes may overlap as well. For example if we take a 5 week course but then are assigned to an 11 week course.... I would ask the advising team about this for the best response.

Have you ever taken online courses before? If you think you are willing and dedicated enough to check in every day or every other day you should be fine. Being that you work 5 days a week, how do you feel about dedicating your weekends or evenings to schoolwork? Just think about things like that.... If those are already "no" and you have big plans coming up like wedding/honeymoon you may consider pushing it back. Good luck to you!

Hi guys!!!

I too applied for Fall 2019. I just over transcripts with Statistics grade, apparently this is all they are waiting for. I would love to join the group if I'm accepted. I was thinking UTA vs Chamberlin? Any advice? I'm leaning more towards UTA, I haven't found any threads regarding there experience but have had heard people say it was a good school for there BSN.

Hello Everyone,

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted and hold on tight to those still waiting!!

I have been accepted into the FNP program for Fall 2019. I was not in a study group for my BSN classes, but love them and would definitely be open to joining one for this program.

As I speak to some students in other programs, I am trying to wrap my brain around how we are to learn and finish all we have to in 5 weeks for classes like Advance Pathophysiology and Pharmacology. May be these ones will be the 11 week classes which would be a relief....!!!

I am excited and nervous all at once!! I can relate to the 'anxiety' about finding clinical sites; but I figure the key hopefully is starting early and of course supporting each other through it. I live in Northern California and looking forward to becoming an NP in a couple of years:)

RNSG your start date is right around the corner! I'm curious how many classes we will have to take at once. Not more than 2 for me (hopefully!). My kiddos are young and active in their activities so I know if I do more than I'm going to stress too much.
