UTA AGACNP Fall 2020

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Hi,

I have been an ICU RN for 7 years and also have my CCRN certification.  I'm applying for the Fall 2020 AGACNP program through UTA and was wondering if anyone out there had any experience with the program?  Or if there is anyone else who will be starting the program in the Fall as well?  I look forward to hearing words of encouragement and/or excitement from other RN's out there.

Hey there! I got accepted to UTA for the AGACNP MSN. I am nervous and wondering how it’s going? How are the classes? I still need to work full time. Are you working?

Hi! I work full-time as well. I started Patho yesterday, so we'll see how that goes. It looks pretty rigorous. I came in with two classes I transferred in from an MSN FNP program. I am pretty nervous as well, but there is no better time than the present!

Hi guys. I'm not working for the moment, but I also took a break from the program after Research for medical reasons. I've been doing well so far, but you have to be dedicated. You need to read, read and read for Patho. Everything in the transcripts is important. You can find some flashcards/test banks online to help with the study material and Youtube video. I passed with an A using only the transcripts so it's doable. You need to set time aside for the program. Good luck!

Congratulations on the A! That's such an accomplishment. Would you mind providing some tips on the case studies in the class? Thank you so much! I really don't have anyone in the class that I know, unfortunately. Thanks again!
