UT Tyler Fall 2016 Nursing

Published

Did anybody apply to UT Tyler nursing program for Fall 2016 at the Longview campus? If so how do you feel about your chances of getting in?

I did. Well I did for Tyler and Longview second. I have heard the competition is pretty tough this semester.

Hey, I applied for the Fall as well, UT Tyler main campus. Would everyone be up for sharing their application stats?

I had 3.4 GPA with an 85 Math and 84 Reading score for the TEAS. My overall application score was around 85 I believe.

Tammie (the advisor) said anything over 70 points is competitive. I have a 3.2 GPA and a 85 overall teas. I have only 75 points but I also am not core complete or nursing core complete yet so I am missing a lot of potential pointact there. You will definitely get in with 85 points. I think I will have a better chance for spring since I will be core and nursing core complete but I figured I would try.

What is the palestine campus like? I applied to the tyler & palestine one. I don't know much about the palestine campus. Can someone explain it to me. I applied to TWU-Houston nursing school also, TWU-Houston is my first choice. UT-tyler&palestine is just my backup plan.

Hi All, I applied for Fall 2016 at the main campus. My GPA is a 3.8 with an 83 Reading TEAS score and an 80 Math TEAS score. My overall points were 83. Really hoping to get in and nervous as heck to find out:/ Good luck to everyone that applied. Any idea on when they will be sending out Acceptance or denial letters?

Usually about 4 to 6 weeks after the application deadline

I applied To the Palestine campus. I took the TEAs there- it's a newer, nice building, very small. I think the advisor said the program accepts 30 people. She said letters would go out mid-March. Good luck!

I applied to Tyler and Palestine. My overall score was an 82. I think my GPA was around a 3.5. My TEAS reading score was a 97 and Math was 86.

I didn't apply anywhere else, so I'm anxiously waiting for mid-March :/. I talked to the advisor after the TEAS, she said that Palestine accepts 30 and Tyler accepts 120 (I believe- I was exhausted after the test, lol).

Good luck everyone!

Hi, has anyone heard when we should be getting the acceptance letters? I called last Friday and they said this week or so but I'm just wondering what exact day it's going to be.

Hopefully it's this week!
