Is there anyone here who has some teacher suggestions for the BSN program at UT Health Science Center in Houston?

If so, write the

1. teacher's name

2. what class they teach

3. why you recommend taking them

4. how easy you think it is to make an A (from 1-10, 1 being really hard, 10 being really easy)

Trishajlee,

Hi. I am currently a senior at UT in Houston and will graduate in December. I believe you are asking this so you can pick who's class to take (?) For each class there is one sometimes two (head) teachers. For example, this semester I am taking OB, Pediatrics and Nursing Leadership. OB has two main faculty over that subject and they alternate who teaches each lecture (and may bring in guest lecturers also)The other classes generally work like that also. All of the 100+ students who are accepted take the same classes together. Unless of course they do some major changes for the semester you start- but normally you don't "pick" a teacher- they teach all the students together the same day and time. Hope this helps!

o that really does help. thank you! :D

are you planning on doing a master's degree? have you heard anything about their nurse anesthesiology program?

I am not planning on doing a Masters program in the near future so I haven't really looked into their programs in depth. I am focused on passing my last three exams this semester and getting through next semester first ;)

Can you tell me how your weekly schedule looked. How many days were you physically in class and what hours?

Hi Mabeek,

I'm a first semester student in the traditional BSN program at UT. The classes you take in first semester are Health Assessment and Lab, Adult Health Care I and Clinical, Pharmacology and Pathophysiology. My current schedule is as follows (your schedule may be different if you're in the accelerated program):

Monday: Health Assessment Demonstration 8-9 am.

Health Assessment Lab 9:15-10:45 or 11:15-12:45 (you will be assigned one lab time)

(Health Assessment is an online class with module quizzes you take in Blackboard. You come in only for demos,

labs and tests. On days you have tests, tests will start at 7am)

Tuesday: Adult Health Care I Lecture 8am-12pm

Before starting clinical, you will have lab: 1-4pm

Thursday: Pharmacology 8-11am

Pathophysiology 1-4pm

After you start clinical, you will have your clinical on either Wednesday, Friday or Saturday (just one of those days). Clinical is from 6:30 am - 4:30 pm. Also, after you start clinical, you will no longer have Care I labs on Tuesday afternoons.

Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for the information. That is exactly what I was needing to know!
