Hey everyone, I'm interested in applying for the Spring 2024 pacesetter program. Does anyone know if overall GPA is calculated only using the prerequisites that they require or do they just use the GPA from your transcript?

They haven't updated the dates yet, but I imagine they'll do so once all the acceptance letters have been sent out.

Not that I've heard of. It would be best to call student affairs to get some information on it though. Or maybe during orientation you can ask.

Hey guys! What did your Summer semester look like? Is the example schedule for semester 2 from this powerpoint accurate? It's attached. When did Summer clinicals end? Thank you!

Hey! Summer was pretty fast paced there were a lot of tests in a short period. The schedule on there is pretty accurate. Your sim/skills labs will depend on the day you have your clinical. If they're not changing anything there should be 5 clinicals. I finished mine on July 29. You may finish a week earlier or later depending on what day you pick and when your group is cleared.

Hi, I was accepted for the Summer 2025 term. I'm feeling pretty nervous about the high fail rates at Cizik. I may bail on Cizik if I am accepted by TWU for the fall, but I want to hear a little more bout your experience thus far. Do you feel supported by staff and professors? Is the curriculum essay and project heavy or mostly exams? Would I be able to work 3 12s at MD Anderson as a PCT or will I have to quit? I am freaking out about this...

If your only focus is study, go ahead and accept it in the Summer cohort. Summer is the most intense one among Spring-Summer-Fall. You won't have time to do anything but study & clinical. You can DM me if you have any other questions since I'm in S2 - last semester at Cizik now
