UT Health Cizik School of Nursing Pacesetter BSN Fall 2023

Hi, anyone applying for Fall 2023?

What has been your experience so far?

Yeah, I just got notified that my application was completed. Does anyone know when they usually send out acceptances? In the last thread it seemed to be around mid June but I don't know for sure. I'm getting a bit ahead of myself though?

How long was it between when you submitted everything to when you were notified that it was complete? I have no outstanding tasks as at a few day ago, but I have not heard yet that my application is complete.

I submitted it 3-4 weeks ago and I was just waiting on one of my transcripts. It was the Enrollment Coach who notified me, but it might've just been because I was originally missing a document

Yes, I am applying for Fall...  Not much to say about the experience... I just finished my HESI today and have submitted all my transcripts... now everything is done and it's just a waiting game...

Yeah, from what it looks like, acceptances are all the way up until about mid June.... here we go with the waiting game...

Good Luck with your applications everyone, and best of luck on your applications!

And just incase anyone asks, I will go ahead and give my stats... they are not stellar by ANY means, but I have been an EMT for a long time (11 years) and have been in the medical field for 25 years... Here's hoping life experience counts for something... ?

Here's hoping I get accepted, I have been working on getting my classes done for a long while.... I'm definitely non-traditional (at 42, married with a daughter)...

My Cumulative GPA is about a 3.5, My science GPA is 4.0... I just took the HESI today and got a 93.14% overall.... A&P - 92, Grammar - 94, Math - 100, Reading - 88, Vocab - 98, Biology - 96, and ? Chemistry - 84... Critical Thinking-930...

What are your scores, and backgrounds?

Why do you want to do nursing, and specifically Why Cizik?

Applying for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 just in case I don't get in the first time. Although I currently have a Science 4.0GPA, I have a couple chemistry classes I took over 15 years ago that are bringing it down to like a 3.2. If I don't get accepted in the Fall, I'm applying for Spring using the State of Texas "Academic Fresh Start" statute. Basically, they don't use any grades older than 10 years in calculating our GPA for admissions purposes. Can't pick and choose which ones, if you want to use it, then NOTHING from 10 years ago counts, including any and all A's.

HESI scores were AP, Chem, Bio and Math were all 100%. Reading, Grammar and Vocab were each 94%. Overall 97.4%

This thread is a lot less active than previous application cycles. Wonder why?

Hey guys I don't know how but I got in for the fall!! I thought acceptance notifications didn't start until June, I'm beyond shocked. Did anyone else get a letter?

When did your acceptance email go out? What were your stats if you don't mind? Congrats!

I got an email today acceptance me for Fall 2023. I am so excited!

Thank you! It went out this morning. GPA overall: 4.0

HESI- 91.7%
96 Grammar, 92 Reading, 94 Vocab, 84 Bio, 84 Chem, 100 Math

I was honestly really worried about my score in the biology and chemistry section because it was a point below the recommended score. I'm glad it worked out though ?
