Hi guys, anyone in the USU FNP Advanced Physiology? I am currently enrolled and am wondering if anyone has any tips for success. The midterm and final are heavy points and I'd like to be well prepared. Is it similar to the weekly quizzes?

I took FNP Advanced Patho at another university but I am assuming it would be the same.
My first tip would be to make some charts of disorders and list the basic patho of the disorder, who is likely to have that disorder (causes and risk factors), the major clinical manifestations, etc. I like to group related disorders to make them easy to compare and contrast. Do this in your own words and keep it simple. If you start simple, it is easy to fill in more information as you go, but if you start with too much information, it is impossible to remember. Even if you don't catch all of the tiny details, you are more likely to know enough information to rationalize your test answers.
The second thing I did that helped me was to purchase the FNP Certification Review app by Maria Leik. The app has a great review of the most important points and topics and has practice questions. This helped me tremendously when I took my exams, especially my comprehensive final exam. There are a million question banks on Quizlet but I am not a fan. I would find too many incorrect answers and I just didn't trust them enough to use that to study from and making my own took too long.
Notes in chart format using simple terms and explanations in my own words and using different colored inks helped with recall. And I did lots of review and practice questions on the app.
Best of luck!
