Usf summer 2016

Published

I havent seen a thread started yet for University of South Florida's summer '16 entry to the program and I thought I would start one, since the application deadline is only about 2 months away. I'm really nervous about getting in especially since they just replaced the essay with an interview. I'm looking forward to talking to other applicants while these next 2.5 months drag by.

Okay- sorry for probably stupid question but how do you get on whatever list to get emails about the workshop next week, etc. I would like to try and go but can't find anything about it :( Thank you :)

I think it may be because my major is pre-nursing. The advisers send the email to my usf email account. If you send an email to one of the advisers you should be able to be added to the email list.

Thank you! I am listed as pre-nursing but have never seen an advisor- I will try that.

Emailed an adviser but when is the workshop though? (Need to see if I can get off work)

At the meeting they said that they will be accepting 100 people for the summer!

Do they have an anticipated number of how many people will apply?

They are hosting 2 workshops. This is directly from the email: "Please note that the nursing faculty will NOT be going over interview techniques or questions to anticipate during a nursing interview. Instead, Career Services, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, will be holding separate workshops on Monday, February 15 at 3:00 p.m. (MDN 1022) and Tuesday, February 16 at 3:00 p.m. (MDN 2007) to address interviewing techniques. (Please remember just attend one workshop hosting by Career Services on the 2/15 or 2/16, as they will be the same workshop)."

Around 300

This is going to be a long interesting wait. :cautious: Did they confirm that they are inviting 140 for interviews?

Thank you- that is helpful. Doesn't look like I can get off work but sounds like that should be okay.

Are they accepting 100 people for the accelerated program or the upper division program. Or 50 each

Did anyone go to the workshop yesterday? I am about to do information session- I will pass along what they say about admitting afterwards.

Information session I just went to said they did not know how many people they would be interviewing and said that they get about 500 applications for 36-48 seats in Second degree and 60-72 seats in the Upper division.
