USF FNP fall 18

Hello! Anyone out there applied to usf FNP or any ARNP program at usf for fall 18?? What are your stats? GPA, experience, do you have a BSN? When did you apply. Let's all keep in contact! I'm planning on applying within the next week or so.

I was thinking of making or having a few of us make a Facebook page and be admins for our class. Would anyone be interested ?? (This includes DNP also, curriculum is the same from what I know just a few semesters longer than FNP to finish the doctorate part)

That is what we did for the USF BSN, someone from the message board started a private Facebook group and sent out the link via allnurses.

Then once we were at orientation everyone else joined the group.

Looking forward to it! Let me know if you have any questions about USF and the process prior to orientation. I am very familiar with everything as I just graduated from their BSN program in December. The process was the same with regards to the health account, email, castlebranch, etc...

Let me know if you start the Facebook group and I look forward to meeting you on 6/20.

Hi everyone! I just found out I was accepted into the FNP program today. Congrats to all my fellow future classmates! I currently work Mon-Fri & was wondering if anyone had any insight as to how often we go to class during this first semester?

Congrats! Not sure what class schedule will be like. Are you planning on attending full-time or part-time?

I'll probably wait another month or so to give everyone a chance to hear back. But a Facebook page will definitely be made.

Congrats ! I know a few people in the program and the first semester or two are online. After that you go to class 1-2 times a week. Then when practicum starts you are in class about 2/3 times every 2 weeks or so. But I've heard that it changed each semester. They are really trying to be more hands on and in class.

I called to find out. They stated first semester is online and then they progressively add more class days as the semesters go on.

Are you guys doing part-time or full-time?

I am probably going to go full-time, that is the plan as of the moment.
