Hi all! I too submited my application (last night). I'm still waiting on transcripts and references so it's not complete, but getting there :) Any idea when they start notifying people? I've applied to georgetown, samuel merritt's sacramento and oakland campus, cal state san marcos and plan on applying to loma linda and johns hopkins soon. I have an interview with georgetown and that's about the only place that I've heard back from so far. How about you all? If you don't mind sharing, what's everyone's stats? I had a 3.3 undergrad GPA and 4.0 GPA in the courses I took after college including micro, physio, ana & lifespan. I've volunteered at various EDs, surgery centers and healthcare companies. I also worked as an EEG tech for about a year straight out of college before I decided to do nursing. I'm super excited to start a program soon and I would love it to be USF's :)
Hi Ashley and Spacegirl,
I applied to Samuel Merritt as well, but for the ABSN degree in Sacramento. I had a 3.0 in college but my post-bac grades have been better. After graduating I worked as a chemist so I took a CNA course to gain nursing experience. I am finishing my final prereq (human phys) this fall. I am also looking to apply at the UCLA entry MSN program, but I would prefer to start in January at USF:)
Hi, I started applying for nursing schools 2 years ago, the first two times fro UCSF (hence the screenname) when there was just 3 pre-reqs to complete. Then I applied to Samuel Merritt Fall 2010 (didn't get in), and now I'm applying to Samuel Merritt Spring 2011 and USF 2011. I really, really wanna get into USF because SMU seems so disorganized! And USF has preceptorships at UCSF and Stanford which is where I'd like to work upon graduation.
Honestly, the more I get rejected, the more I feel like quitting nursing...my son was transplanted as a baby and that's the only reason I want to do nursing - for him. I even did CNA certification and I liked it...So I know my heart is in the right place, but not my grades which is only B average. Sucks to be average...
Good luck everyone!

Not sure if there's a University of San Francisco CNL (MSN for non-nurse) thread started for Spring 2011 applicants. Here it is!
