Hello,
I also applied to the 2012 program. I have been changed to the committee status, just waiting for a decision now. I hear that the essay and your core science GPA is the most important....not sure how correct this is though. Hopefully we will be hearing something very soon.
I have a BS in Bio from Eckerd College, minor in psychology, Master's in medical sciences from USF College of Med....I have worked as a pharm tech, associate chemist, and microbiologist. I have done volunteer work but not since I have worked full time and school full time....so we will see what happens...good luck
Hi I just applied to USF school of nursing upper division for fall 2012. I was told by the nursing advisors that a 3.7 GPA was the average admittance GPA from last year.
I was wondering if you guys think I have a chance I have a 3.75 GPA and a 3.8 science GPA I never failed any classes I withdrew pass from one class A and P 1 and later recieved an A. I wrote a strong personal statement. I have exprience because I have been a C.N.A. since 2008 and I have volunteered (I was told this voluteerism is not as important by an advisor) someone please reply I'm so excited to hear your replys. Thank You!

Hi Everyone! I hope some of the more recent accepted applicants can help me here. I am applying for the University of South Florida Accelerated BSN for Summer 2012. This is my number 1 school to go to and I am really worried about getting in! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and any advice at all to strengthen my application would be highly appreciated!! I am graduating December 2012 from Towson University in MD. I will graduate with my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Biology and MB3. My GPA is a 3.3 hopefully by the time I graduate it will be a 3.4. I have been a certified pharmacy technician for 2.5 years now. I am planning on volunteering this summer at my local hospital as well. I know my GPA isn't the best and I wish it would have been a lot higher as I have been reading other post about students not getting in with a 3.8
I also was wondering if I would have a better chance getting into the upper division and doing 2 years vs the accelerated program? Any advice would be awesome! I am starting to write my personal essay and I hope to have a very well written paper by the time I turn my application in. Thanks everyone!!!!
