USF ABSN Summer 2022 (Tampa Campus)

Published

Hello all!

I was wondering if anyone thinking or is in the process of applying to USF's ABSN Summer 2022 program! I am new to the Tampa Bay area and have been wanting to pursue a BSN for quite some time now. I also wanted to get some clarification on pre-requisite courses as I am not familiar with Florida's numbering system, as well as if there are any standardized testing required prior to admission.

Thanks!

Hi,

I trying to apply the USF's ABSN Summer 2022 program.

Hello! I am looking at applying to this program for Summer 2022. I currently live in the Orlando area! Let me know how I can help! I did all my schooling here in Florida.

I actually grew up from Florida near the Tampa Bay region!

hi everyone, not sure if anyone is active on here, but I applied to the ABSN Summer 2022 and am waiting to hear back. I think they said end of March acceptances will be sent out. Wish it was sooner - I'm trying to plan housing etc. it's all going to be pretty last minute.

Hey! I can't remember exactly what the timeline was, but we were notified of acceptance in March shortly after our interview. Our orientation was still virtual at the time, but it was near the end of April/early May if I am remembering correctly! I think if you look back through the posts from Summer 2021 you might find some helpful answers on the timeframe. ? Good luck!   USF ABSN Summer 2021 - Tampa Campus - Page 2 - Pre-Nursing Students - allnurses

Thanks so much!! And then it starts in May, right? I'm worried about finding housing on time, was this an issue for you? Also, congrats on making it this far into the program! Are you liking it? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get all the info I can since it's going to be here before I know it. ?

Hey! No problem, it definitely happens quick! I remember being in your shoes not too long ago. I can't really help on the housing side of things because I already lived in the area, but it didn't seem to be a problem for other people in my cohort that relocated. As for the program, I absolutely love it! It is challenging, but the program and all of the professors have been amazing. I would check the USF website about the actual start date, but our cohort started in mid-May. ?

Hi! Has anyone completed their interview? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Goodluck everyone!

I completed my interview at the beginning of February. Just be yourself when you answer the interview. To be honest, I answered the question around 3 minutes. I attended the USF ABSN seminar with Miss Ashley. Miss Ashley recommends using the START method (Situation, Task, Action, and Result) when completing the interview.

Was it only one question or was it 5 questions? Thank you for your advice!

There were only 3 questions that I used for the START method out of the 5 questions.  Good luck on your interview!
