USD MEPN Fall 2020

Hello All!

I have yet to see anything related to the USD MEPN Fall 2020 program, so I thought I'd start a post!

Huh, mine says that too, "incomplete-items outstanding". I was just assuming that there was some disconnect between this portal and the NursingCAS. I have all the prerequisites done and turned in, so it should not actually be incomplete.

Just wanted to chime in quickly. I am stressed out about this as much as everyone. My application says incomplete as well, but it doesn't mean anything. I spoke with someone in the grad office, basically we are all back navigating into this portal system w/o actually getting any instructions or explanation on it. Just b/c you do not see the ADMIT tab does not mean you're declined, sounds like actual notifications will be sent out soon. All of the info we need to access the portal will be coming in an email middle of next week. There are physical paper letters going out in the mail Friday. 100% of the decisions have been made, and he could not tell me if I was accepted or declined, the grad office is not allowed to give notifications. I guess we need to wait a few more days. Good luck to everyone who is worried like me. Fingers crossed!

This Friday, tomorrow, paper letters in the mail. Which from my understanding will be accepted/decline letters. IF you are accepted you would be getting an email middle next week that should follow behind the paper letter with instructions on how to access the portal and what to do once you have logged in (of which some of us have done so prematurely).

This is my general understanding based on my chat with the grad office. Do not take this as concrete facts as I am just relaying my best understanding of what I was told. Keep in mind that the grad office person I spoke with was a little surprised that I/we back-end navigated to the portal. Additionally, he was not allowed to give me any info on my app status. Some of this is me trying to "read between the lines".

@dsx Thank you very much for looking into everything! Guess we will all just have to wait and see. Do you know if the letters would also indicate if we are waitlisted? Just trying to see every possibility

This is just my assumption based on the little information they were willing to share.... the paper letter should indicate accepted/declined and waitlisted. The email sounded like it would only go to those accepted, but I might be inclined to assume that if one was on the waitlist an email would be sent with guidance on how to handle your waitlist status. Again, just me assuming the above based on what I was told. The person never said anything about waitlist NOR did I ask about waitlist issues. Take it with a grain of salt.

So, I may be too optimistically reading between the lines, but I'm wondering if we were able to get into the portal if that means we will get an acceptance? I'm wondering if there is anyone on here who hasn't been able to get into the portal? Mine also says "Incomplete-items outstanding", which also did not make any sense to me.

I think you are reading too much into TBH .... just hang tight. Within a week we will know 100% what our statuses are. Logging into the portal means nothing towards your acceptance, you basically just backended into the university ecosystem with your nursingCAS ID. You could have accessed that portal months ago. Just my reading of how it works. Take it for what its worth.

@DanaLow Congrats! I didn’t get anything in mail today and my portal has not changed so guessing it I did not get in
