Usd (ca) mepn fall 2014 applicants

Published

Hi! I have yet to find any threads on the University of San Diego's MEPN '14 applicants. I submitted on the day of the deadline.... anyone else out there????

Sounds like the interviews went well. I'm glad I got to meet some of you from this discussion board. All of you looked great, extremely professional. I'm certain you interviewed well. You now have Epitt1987, dnhumphries and myself to contact when you receive your letters of acceptance.

PHEEW! We made it! :woot: It was great meeting everyone! It was so exhilarating being around such a wonderful group of people. Hope to see y'all again soon!

I really, really feel like I gave my interview my all and said everything I could have possibly fit into 15 minutes (actually, more like 18 or so -- my interview went over!) The person I interviewed with was very receptive and gave me a lot of positive feedback. Hoping this means good news!! At this point if I really feel like I tried my best. Just hoping my passion makes up for some of my undergraduate grades haha!

And thank you again SO MUCH to all of the current students for helping out here on the forum & throughout the entire interview process. Just shows how amazing the USD community is :)

Does anyone remember the name of the lady with the walker? She was so sweet and I'd like to send a thank you for interviewing me, but I blanked on her name after leaving!

usdhopeful2014 you may want to go onto the USD SON faculty site for that. We can't put names on this site. I'm not certain if this is the same person but look under administration biographies not faculty.. I think you may find her there... unless you are referring to another person...

Aimee,

I'm glad you had a good experience. To answer your questions, we don't write a thesis in this program. You would need to if you proceed to the DNP or PhD programs though. As for the meal plans, you can purchase but to be honest I do not think you need one. You're only on main campus, generally 1 day a week. Your first semester you will also be at the lab down the hill 1 day a week. You can add money to your ID card, which is called campus cash. This can also be used at a few of the places down the street in the Starbucks shopping center. Most people live off-campus as it tends to be cheaper than on-campus graduate housing. Hope this helps and hope to see you this summer as well.

usdhopeful2014 - We cannot post names but she is the Director of Nursing Programs, which should narrow down your search.

Thank you, dnhumphries!

Thanks again, Devan!

Hello guys! So I called USD to ask if we will be getting an email or snail mail notifications of admittance and she said that they have started sending out letters today so we should be getting them in the mail early next week. I live in San Diego so I hope to get it by Monday.... I am officially a nervous wreck :nailbiting:!!

 Thanks for the info! YIKES! It feels like I applied ages ago. Can't believe we're finally here. This is going to be the LONGEST weekend OF MY LIFE! Haven't been able to focus on anything!!

i was reading posts from last year's cohorts, and it looks like you might be able to check your application status on your MySanDiego Portal, as well. OMG, i have been stressing about this all week long. Can't believe we were interviewing just a week ago! It does feel like it's been forever
