USC Versant New Grad RN Residency Program, September 2024

Published

Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the September 2024 Cohort at USC Keck's Versant RN Residency Program. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Applications open up on June 3! Good luck to all of us (-:

It could be, I would say to just reach out and ask and let them know when you take/pass your exam so that HR can update your application

My applications for both ICU and Tele changed to under consideration soon after I submitted it, but I'll definitely send them an email after the exam! Thank you (-':

It may also be the specific units you applied for may not have reached out to applicants just yet.

Hi, my application status changed from "under review" to "under consideration" but I haven't received an email. Has anyone heard back today?

Yes have an interview for cardiac tele!

I know we are on the same boat for the interview but did anyone hear any advice for the interview? like what kind of questions they ask?

hi! mine has said "under consideration" since Monday and I haven't received a call or email!

LA is so expensive OMG. If I somehow get offered the position, I will definitely need a housemate 😂

Missed a call from Keck on 6/25 at 5:53pm and called them back 6/26 but [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME, PER TOS] (RN Transition Program Manager) just returned my call this morning 6/27. She offered me an interview with 6N Abdominal Transplant telemetry.

She did ask me if I have my license already or if I have a date scheduled for my NCLEX. She also mentioned that they have a cutoff date of July 31st for NCLEX.

Hope this helps!

Does anyone know how the whole interview process works? Like if I don't end up jiving with the unit I have an interview for do I ask the program manager for other opportunities? I don't want to seem rude or ungrateful, but I would like to explore my options. How should I approach this? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Does anyone know how many applicants are interviewed per unit for ICU?

Also, anyone else interviewing on the 9th?

Also, if any past interviewees can provide any insight on the interview structure/format/length, that would be much appreciated!
