  1. Hi, how has your experience at Bradley has been this past year? I'm currently researching schools for my pmhnp as well and am interested in hearing about this as an online option.
  2. Hi! Congrats on your interview! I'd say have a few good stories from your work experience or clinicals that you can draw from and include in your answers. Be yourself and don't be afraid to relate to the interviewers where you can. Familiarize yourself with the ICU unit and what they specialize in. You got this!
  3. 6South, we deal with liver and kidney pre/post transplant and hepatobiliary surgery patients.
  4. No worries. I think allnurses requires we share 15 posts before we can privately dm. I'll go ahead and copy and paste the questions here. It might benefit others too. - strength & how it can be applied to the nurse residency at Keck - weakness & how you overcame it - a time you made a mistake - a time you witnessed someone else making a mistake - describe a time working with difficult person, why were they difficult? How did you handle it? - why keck? why this unit? - a time when you had to think critically - a time when you had to take constructive criticism - how do you facilitate change - describe a time where you were frustrated or had frustrations w/ nursing(?) & how did you handle it - describe a time when you went above and beyond for a patient
  5. Hi! Wow OK so you just asked the right person because I kept all the questions they asked in a note and still currently work there. Can you send me a DM so I can send you the questions?
  6. Next cohort for USC Keck opens applications in January to start in April. Best to keep checking the website to see if/when they update specific dates. I believe USC Arcadia is still accepting applications for this year's Fall cohort, but I could be wrong. DM me if you need the HR phone number or the recruiter's email. (They require ACLS and to have your license already). UCLA has a cohort application opening in September to start in Winter 2025 (not sure if in December or January they start). Kaiser SoCal just opened their applications this week if you're okay with committing to MedSurg for 2 years. (They do have a higher starting pay from what I hear, but the application is even more competitive. Panel interviews, and applicants must prepare some kind of presentation). Huntington Hospital's next cohort starts January 22, 2025 and their applications open in November. (Good for Mother Baby and L&D if you're interested in that). Hope this helps somebody! Good luck!
  7. Yes! It was the Transition Program Manager that called. I think it's only her making the phone calls as she mentioned that there are other steps involved before we speak to HR or our specific recruiter.
  8. Not sure. I interviewed for 7W ICU but was not offered a position. So they might have made their decision, but haven't been able to reach out yet.
  9. 6S abdominal transplant tele. Anyone else also starting here? Would love to make new connections ? Congratulations!
  10. Try applying to USC Arcadia! They require you already have your license and ACLS before applying but they're still hiring for their Fall cohort. I think it's the same Versant training as Keck. Last time I checked these floors were hiring: 2T post-op/med-surg non-tele 5T med-surg non-tele 3N neuro tele 4N pulmo tele 5N cardio tele
  11. In my interview confirmation email it says "You can expect the majority of our offers to be extended beginning Monday 7/15. Please come speak to me directly if you need to know sooner."
  12. Missed a call from Keck on 6/25 at 5:53pm and called them back 6/26 but [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME, PER TOS] (RN Transition Program Manager) just returned my call this morning 6/27. She offered me an interview with 6N Abdominal Transplant telemetry. She did ask me if I have my license already or if I have a date scheduled for my NCLEX. She also mentioned that they have a cutoff date of July 31st for NCLEX. Hope this helps! That was from an updated post I made a couple weeks ago. I have 2 interviews, one for today July 9th and another for Friday July 12th.
  13. Does anyone know how the whole interview process works? Like if I don't end up jiving with the unit I have an interview for do I ask the program manager for other opportunities? I don't want to seem rude or ungrateful, but I would like to explore my options. How should I approach this? Any advice would be much appreciated!
