Hi all! I wanted to create this forum for the USC New Grad Program set to start September 12th. Good luck to you all ?

Hi everyone,

I applied to :

Cardiovascular Surgery Heart/Lung Transplant ICU (4 South)

Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant Telemetry (5 North)

one of them is under consideration the other is under review, has anyone received a call for an interview?

I've only done the assessment they emailed...

Thank you ?

I have another offer at a different hospital so im kinda in limbo.... ?

Received a verbal offer via phone but haven't received anything from HR. Anyone else hear from HR yet?

I received an email from them last week to reapply for the position and got an offer email and havent heard anything from HR or employee health after that. Hbu?

Has anyone set up appointments with the employee health like the offer email said? Im confused with the whole process. I couldn’t  reach out to the hr guy since he never replied or answered

I interviewed for a telemetry unit on Monday and the same day they called and offered me a job! Good luck to everyone!

I could be wrong but I believe they have already chosen the candidates. They’ve sent us all emails for the onboarding process. ?

Hello!
I am applying for the RN program in April. I was wondering if y’all can give some insights about USC new grad program especially in cardiovascular thoracic ICU. Do y’all feel that the program is given enough support and resources to help y’all transition? Any insights is appreciated!

Hi, Im in the versant and just finished orientation a month ago. 12 weeks for med surg and 16 weeks for ICU. Im in med surg so I cant speak for ICU ppl but overall, I felt that the program prepared me well and gave me enough support, resources to help with the transition. I know some ppl didn't feel ready to be on their own so they asked for more orientation time and Keck let them do an extra 2-3 which is really nice.

Thank you for sharing! Would you say the nursing culture at usc is welcoming for new grad?
