USAGPAN Army CRNA FY24

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hey there..I'm posting this thread seeing who else is applying for the FY24' June start with the Army USAGPAN. I've applied before and know the rigors of the application, the back and fourth paperwork between the recruiter, endless forms, and signatures. I'm retaking an undergraduate class and a graduate science course per the boards recommendation.

Best of luck to everyone.

Thank you for the timeline. This helps get an idea how the training looks pre school etc. Was the break from BOLC to start of school more prep / personal time? TIA

personal time 100%. my best friend had a copy of Duke's Anesthesia Secrets he read twice from the beginning of DCC til the start of Phase I. still has the thing - it's ***ing ruined LOL. I have a funky binder of misc. doesn't help you a lick in Phase I, which starts off with hard sciences like biochem and A&P (none of which are meaningfully discussed in Duke's). enjoy your life while you have it. USAGPAN will occupy your existence for 3 years until you emerge a furious, deathless anesthesia machine

Has anyone heard of they've been selected by the Army Board?

I was told by recruiter the Army board met today.....few weeks I'm sure for decision...

Let me know if you all hear anything about the Army Board. I was told by my recruiter I wouldn't hear anything at all from the Army until USAGPAN makes their selections and sends out offers. So the way she made it sound, USAGPAN will know but I won't hear anything until both have decided.

Interesting, this was the message I got from Jana Johns when I inquired about decisions back in May

It would make sense to me that the Army could tell us about their decision first but my recruiter is saying they won't release it until Baylor's decision is made. If you do hear anything just let us know. Maybe she just misunderstood.

Any updates from VA applicants?

Hey there. I've done both interviews. Last one was June 30th.  Got an email telling me to call to review my interview a few days later. Basically just gave me feedback and ways to improve. I believe they said we should here back end of August, beginning of September.

Did you guys get an email saying that we should know if we get selected by Army board by Friday? And then selection to Baylor/USAGPAN no later than Aug 22?

I got that email from Baylor today. I just reached out to my recruiter and they hadn't heard anything about it yet. At least we will know about one piece of the puzzle this week. Good luck everyone, we're on the home stretch!
