Enjoy your vacation! Hopefully we all hear good news :)

I kind of hope what Lvelasquez is saying isn't necessarily true. My recruiter stated a person has only one chance of applying to NTP and after that they have to get experience and apply again to the FQ boards. Did anyone else have an answer about if NTP is only available once or if you can apply multiple times as long as you don't have the 1 year experience?

If what she said was true, it kind of jips the applicants who may be more promising all-around, but haven't graduated yet. I really do hope they look at the whole package of the person and most people (87% nationally) pass the NCLEX, so it really shouldn't be such a big worry to them if the candidate has succeeded with a high GPA and shown to have a great work ethic.

AFhopeful,

My recruiter told me if I don't get in this time I can reapply one more time and that would be it. I guess we are able to apply twice. I know that is to be true because there are several people on other sites that had to apply twice (and were given a note from the board saying what to improve ie get ACLS, more volunteer experience with adults, etc.)

I am in the same boat as you as I graduate in 2013!! EEK!

I'm also hoping it's not true since I'm another one of the applicants that will be graduating in 2013.

I also find it a little disheartening that they might only look at those who haven't graduated yet if there aren't enough quality people who have graduated to fill all the slots. I understand the concept behind it, but the fact that we are applying before graduating shows that we really do want this...don't get me wrong - I know all of you on here who have already graduated are highly motivated and really want this too, but it bothers me that there are probably some people out there that are only applying because they haven't been able to get a job somewhere else and they are going to get consideration before we do if what Lvelasquez is saying is true.

I think my recruiter has told me I could apply again for NTP next year if I don't get selected this year, but I will probably ask him again just to be sure. Do any of you know if you need 6 months or 1 year for the FQ boards? I've heard both, and I suppose it can change depending on what the needs of the AF are at the time...
