Has any anyone attended University of Southern Alabama's merged NP/CNS online program? Would like to hear from others who may know about this school. Thanks

Peaceful,
I just discovered this program yesterday while looking for online NP programs. I was excited to find out that starting Fall 2005 they will be offering their ACNP/CNS program 100% online. I think you travel to their campus once per semester (similar to Deaconess). They project that going fulltime this MSN can be done in 4 semesters. They also offer it part-time. I really considering this school for my BSN and then the ACNP/CNS.

Okay...I just have to ask. What is CNS? :imbar
BTW, welcome aboard peaceful. I really like your user name.
Hi,
Mona the CNS is Certified Nurse Specialist, similar to Nurse Practioner but slightly different. Some states recognize the two degrees, NP and CNS differently. Both degrees make one an advanced practice nurse.
Cheri thanks for responding about USA. Their online program does sound good. The tuition does not seem so awful either. I am hoping that i can handle school and working full time. I don't have the same energy for school as i did for my BSN. Do you know which speciality your are going for yet? If you hear anymore about this school, please let me know. I will do the same.

The tuition is very reasonable compared to what it is at other schools offering similar programs. I wish you the best in getting back into school mode...You can do it!
I am still in Nursing school at this point so it is early to say for sure but I have a specific interest in critical care, so I was looking at the ACNP after my BSN and then hopefully on to CRNA school.
What excellent goals you have!
