Is it true that greencard process takes less time for someone who graduates from USA school of nursing? If so, any idea of how long does it take?

Thanks everybody![bANANA][/bANANA]

It is true and it takes about six months to a year, depending on your service center and other things.

No, the processing time is the same in most cases, it is just that you can begin work over here quicker with the EAD. And things can move along quicker since you are here and can sign documents as they need to be signed, and checks get written faster by the employer to pay for the visa, etc.

That is what speeds it up, otherwise processing times by immigration are the same. Usually it is the agency that drags things out when you are overseas. Same thing applies to those that come over and go the AOS route, same pimmigration procedures need to be followed. You jst have closer watch on things being done over here.

I was away for along time. Thanks for replies.

The difference is based on the fact that more than likely you would be using the AOS, and not going the route of consular processing. When you use the AOS, where you went to school does not matter. That you are in the US does. And for the fact that you are more aware of what is happening and not relying in an agency to do the work for you. Bills get paid on time, you can select your own attorney, etc. All things that speed up the time.
