US RN Seeking Canadian Travel nursing Position

Published

I have been a Pediatric RN working on a Renal floor in the US for 2 1/2 years now. I have been trying to locate a Travel Nursing Agency that could get me an assignment on Vancouver Island, Victoria region. I am a US and Canadian citizen but I only have an American BSN degree and took my boards in TX. If any one knows a reputable international travel nursing agency please give me their contact info. Thanks!

You would need to obtain a practice permit for BC. CRNE is only written three times a year. Your NCLEX isn't accepted.

VIHA hires all nurses for the Island and does direct hire. Canadian nurses are unionized, so I'm not even sure travel nurses are utilized. The only American RNs I've ever worked with have moved permanently to Canada.
