US nurse moving to Australia

Hello all!

I am currently a nurse in the US with 8months experience. By the time I move to Australia, I will have about 1.5 years of experience as an oncology nurse. I am a little lost as to the whole process of transferring my license, and what steps to take. Also, is it even possibly to find a nursing job with only 1.5 years experience. I also worked as a tech on a med/surg floor for 3yrs prior to obtaining my BSN and specializing in oncology. Any and all advice would be great. Thanks in advance!

Starting point would be checking out the AHPRA website on requirements for overseas trained nurse

ummm...starting point will be...get a working visa/legal papers.
