I currently got accepted for nursing school for my ADN. I am looking to join the US Navy nurses corps once I graduate and get my BSN. Can I join the NCP now or do I have to wait till I have my ADN? and if i can, how do I go about doing that?

Not 100% sure on Navy, but most branches require a BSN before you commission. I know the Air Force doesn't take associates, you MUST have a Bachelors in Nursing. They let you apply if you're within a year of graduation, but Navy may be different

In order to apply for the NCP, you need to be a student at a accredited BSN program.

Piggyback question, for example if you are in an ADN program at a community college and you are planning to transfer into a BSN program at a university, do you have to wait until you are in the BSN classes to apply or can you apply as soon as you get the acceptance letter from the university? What would the best application time for ADN to BSN transfers be if they want to join the military, how soon should they start talking to healthcare recruiters?

It's never too early to talk to a healthcare recruiter. There are programs that take you while in school, but generally you apply during your final year of a BSN program. Getting things together (medical records, references, etc.) takes at least 6 months.

Like Jfratian said, it is never too early to talk to a officer recruiter. I started my application in July the year that I was about to start nursing school and went to MEPS the Friday before my first day of nursing school. It would be nice to wait because you could put on your resume that you are required to send in that you have already been accepted to an accredited BSN school.
