Hey guys...
I am a registered nurse in Texas but currently live and work as a nurse in London, England. Does anyone know if I am able to take travel nurse assignments in the states since I am a US citizen, but live in the UK. I cannot seem to find an answer to this anywhere.
Thanks!

What would make where you currently work different from any other nurse with a state license? I worked in England and it didn't occur to me to worry about obstacles to return to travel assignments in the US.
Well one thing I can think of, if you are talking about a compact license from TX, that requires actually residing in TX. So TX is the only state you could take a travel assignment in without getting licensure by reciprocity in specific states you want to work in. But that isn't any different from any other nurse with a TX license who doesn't live there.
Another small hurdle is you will likely have to get current BLS and perhaps other certifications depending on your specialty and/or facility requirements. So you might need to return and obtain those before applying for travel assignments.

Wow that is so cool! how did you move to London? I really want to move abroad. You should try to reach out to a USA based travel agency.
