[TD]Tried to calm down the patient and explained the risk and complications but no positive result. I informed the doctor. I talked with the patient's son who was there and asked him if there was any important medical condition that they didn't inform us. He was hesitant in the beginning. I kept explaining him how it would hurt his father's health and finally he said that his dad was an alcoholic and didn't take it that day. That made the patient nervous and acted that way. When the doctor came I informed him about the situation and we carried out treatment for alcoholic withdrawal, with soft padded restraints.

[TD]Our team of 5 was assigned to work at a bus station. We basically explained to parents and got permission to give polio drops to their children. Two of us worked with pedestrians and two wheelers. The rest of us worked with parents in the buses that stopped at the bus station. It was really slow in the first few hours. Then I realized that there are many other buses that cross the bus station without stopping there. I discussed about it with colleagues and I suggested them that we could make a stop sign with polio campaign day symbol and tried to stop those buses. Other members agreed with me. When we tried, many buses stopped for us and the plan worked fine.

You're on target BUT (you knew it was coming) . . . Your "A" needs to reflect YOUR actions, not the group or team. Revise the language & take out the 'we' and 'us' - replace with 'I'. If you were working with a team, explain that YOU made sure that other team members did ______.

These questions, like all interviewing stuff - are intended to get a sense of the type of nurse you are. So make sure to tell your story in the first person, focusing on your own actions.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I will do that
