Urgent Care Bootcamp

I’m curious if any UC NP’s have taken the HIPPO urgent care bootcamp?
I’m not working in urgent care as an NP but did as an RN and really liked it. I also have many years as an ICU Nurse under my belt. I’m working in sleep/pulmonology as an NP and although I’ve learned a lot, it’s not my dream job. I keep going back to the idea of UC. These jobs usually require experience which I completely understand. Im always happy to get any new education that I can but I’m wondering if the boot camp is truly worth the $1000. I can spend the money but I wonder if it would help me at all on my resume...

Hi! Did you ever make the switch to urgent care? I also work in sleep/pulm and would like an urgent care position. I just need one to open up!

There is a book called urgent care secrets that’s pretty good for urgent care things. There used to be a minor emergencies book but I don’t think they have updated it in a long time. Urgent care secrets though I’ve read through some of it for clinic and it’s amazing and to the point

not exactly an answer to your question but good alternative or add on if you are looking for a textbook in QA format

Hi there

I have been working in UC/walk in clinic for 6 years. I have taken the Urgent Care Bootcamp from Hippo ED and found it helpful. The content is presented well and  relevant. The down side is that you can not access the videos once your subscription has expired so it’s not a good resource for referring to later.

Best of luck to you
