UPMC Shadyside fall 2014!

Hey i haven't seen a thread so I wanna start one. Anyone applying for shadyside for fall of 2014? :)

does anyone know what the application deadline is for fall 2014?

It's on the website, I think it's June 2.

im going to take a&p 2 at carlow university in the spring and human growth and development online through ccac. that will mean I have a&p1/2, psych, and human growth and development completed when I send my application and I plan on taking micro in the summer. I do not plan on taking the PSB and was going to send my SAT scores. I scored 530 Reading, 450 Math, 490 Writing. does anyone now what my chances are of getting in with these scores?

@frawaed I'm pretty sure A&P 1-2, Mirco, Nutrition and probably other prerequisites. I do know SON is changing their curriculum to a 72 credit program for fall 2014. I'm not sure what classes they are changing and etc! Are you going to apply? I'm trying for community first and if that fails SON is my next option :-)

I'm gonna apply for the fall of 2014 I think.either that or spring 2015

Just a tip, because I did not know this when I got into the program, you have to take A&P 2 at the same institution as A&P 1 in order for it to transfer. I had taken 1 and then got into Shadyside and soon found out I could not just take 2 at Shadyside. So I ended up taking A&P 2 in an 8 week summer session at community on top of my full time nursing school schedule.

Natalie just told me last month

"The only classes that you can transfer in are:

A&P 1 and 2

Human Growth and Development

Microbiology

You will not be able to transfer in nutrition."

Aw, man, I and just registered for nutrition at WCCC! Hope I can withdraw without it showing up on my transcript.

anyone find out what the 2 other classes are that can be transferred in?

So how many classes would transfer? Was it just those three above that dzd5012 mentioned? And so you can't transfer in Nutrition? I'm kind of mad because I just took it and got an A- too! : ( I'm also wondering if I should take Microbiology right now or in the summer...there is only one professor that teaches it at my university, and half the people dropped it or failed that class. Which is why I'm thinking about taking it in the summer, but I'm not sure. And I'm also wondering what other places to apply to if Shadyside doesn't work out?

has anyone gotten in based on sat scores and essay alone? my gpa is horrible but my sat scores are above what they ask for.
