Hey i haven't seen a thread so I wanna start one. Anyone applying for shadyside for fall of 2014? :)

I mean tuition forgiveness not overall tuition which will be less anyway. Oh and look at the tuition break down for the classes for 2013-2014 it says new curriculum but I dont see any changes about the classes. Weird.

Im going to take it at CCAC of coorifice. Im taking Nutrition and logic online there too.

Its $1080 for ap and micro at Shadyside and only 380 at ccac so I think its smarter to take them there.

im doing the same. at Allegheny and taking all the other online. I have a&p1 from carlow but have to take it over again cause I cant transfer it in by itself

Initially, I was hoping to apply for a fall 2014 start date at UPMC (full time), but I am now having second thoughts about it. Partly (and I'm not sure if I have this right) becuase the deadline is coming up really soon and I still have to write the essay for the application and get some references. And well, I'm just in a state of confusion and fuzziness right now...at times I feel like "yes, I am going to apply, nursing is for me" etc., but lately I've been feeling like "do I really want to do this? Do I really want to have no life for the next ___ years?" I then try to remind myself that it will all be worth it in the end...And uh, just a little about me: I'm currently a sophmore at a branch campus university, looking to transfer, and trying to figure my life out.

I feel the same way. im at a loss for what to do. I don't have any girl friends so Im scared to go through it without support of my friends. haha

I am going to apply for Part-time Fall 2014! I'm taking my prereq's at WCCC, already did A&P I, currently doing Development, then next term it's A&P II, and Micro in the summer.

Shine, the deadline for Spring admission is Oct. 28, but as far as I can see they haven't posted the PSB schedule or application deadlines for Fall admission. I think the Fall deadline would be in May or June. (Good luck!)

Img Im going to apply for the part time too. Shine the deadline for fall is definitely not till May or June it depends on when they run out of spots. If you took the SAT's I think you can send in your info now. Truth is I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life until last year. Just see if your passionate about nursing. Go to a hospital and maybe volunteer or ask to shadow a nurse.

Oh is the deadline really in May or June? Natalie wasn't really clear on deadlines. Here I am, trying to rush by Oct. 28th because I didn't see any date on the website!

I really am just waiting for this one professor to get back to me on my reference and just to get my scores sent somehow. I wonder if I should still make it by the Oct. 28th deadline, just to get my application in? I'm not sure if the mail will be fast enough though...

I took most of my prereq's already (currently trying to survive Microbiology!). And yes, I am a bit scared frae, because although I am from the Pittsburgh area, I won't know anyone there/I'll be pretty much on my own. And Twin, I've been searching for what to do with my life and I really am tired of searching for so long.

So I have an update on the new curriculum. They are making the full time program 18 months and the part time 3 years. They will still let micro, ap1, and ap2 transfer/ take them at chatham. However they are still working on logic and nutrition and are trying to work them into the nursing curriculum so they wont be a class you have to take. The credits may or may not transfer over for those classes. Tuition forgiveness is going up, but they are not sure how much yet. And the new psb testing schedule will be up in 3 to 4 weeks. I am so excited I have my classes scheduled at ccac and my psb study books came in the mail yesterday. Yay!!! Lol
