Hi guys. I'm writing to try to crowd source your insights to help me make the decision on where I'll go to school this fall. I currently have the privilege of choosing between BC's Direct Entry Masters and UPenn's ABSN/MSN programs, am on the wait list for Yale's GEPN program, and am anticipating the situation in which I get admitted to Vanderbilt's Pre-Specialty Program. This is all for FNP specialty. The factors that matter to me most are quality of education to prepare me to be an excellent FNP, length, and cost. The only thing I care about for location is the cost of living.
If you are choosing between these 4 programs, how would you rank them and why? Can people who have made this choice before chime in on why you chose what you chose? And can others in the process of making this choice tell me their thoughts?
Thank you all a bunch!

I think Yale would probably be the best!

Yale!
Thank you guys! Why Yale over everything else?
Right now I’m waitlisted there’s and I’m just gonna pretend like I wont get in. If it’s between the 2 year MSN at BC and the 3.5-4 year ABSN/MSN at UPenn, what would you choose and why? Thank you!
Just think the name value, and the cost of living is cheaper in New Haven compared to Philly. Access to NYC. Between UPenn and BC both are great, just go off location. I personally would do UPENN because of the name (I know how shallow), but honestly anything that will help you get your foot in the door after graduation.

What did you end up deciding? I may have the opportunity to choose between three of your four listed schools. I'm curious which you chose and how it's worked out for you?
Hey! I chose BC because I ended up not getting off the waitlist at Yale or Vanderbilt, and Penn was way too expensive and long, working as an RN before becoming an NP isn’t important to me (they really emphasize the RN part in their program), and since their program is a dual degree program it isnt eligible for the HRSA scholarship which I wanted to apply for. I’m really happy with my decision! The faculty/staff are amazing and the opportunity to do clinicals in America’s top hospitals is priceless. Important to note that BC has done away with the 2 year MSE program (my class is the last one in the 2 year version) and is now a 3 year DNP program which I’m sure is going to be amazing too. If you have the means, you can’t go wrong with any of these schools so congratulations on potentially having these choices!
