2013 UPenn BSN/MSN Applicants

Hi Everyone! This topic thread is for those applying to UPENN BSN/MSN program summer 2013. I hope we can create a support network here!

I will be applying to the nurse-midwifery and WHNP program and have begun writing my personal statement. Their application should be completely available July 15th but you should be able to create an account. Good luck everyone!

Haha anytime! I am extremely excited and want to hear ASAP so I'll call tomorrow at 8, probably right when they open up lol.

They have no new information... They just said the first or second week of February. Ahhh! We have awhile still!

I feel the same way! But all we can do is wait patiently. I think I'm so nervous because I haven't heard from ANY school yet, so I'm not sure how this application cycle is going to go for me! Penn will more than likely be the first school I hear from, and it is scary because I feel like its going to determine the rest of my application cycle... haha!

@Hopeful, I completely agree!! The most nerve-wracking part is that it's so hard to know where we stand, as individual applicants, amongst the pool of highly competitive students who have applied. It is a scary thought! I wish everyone the absolute best and I am right there with you- biting my nails :)

Hi ashley! I am a bsn only applicant also! I was accepted to Drexel for the Spring 2013 cohort. I have paid my deposit and planned on attending Drexel, but I recently received an invitation to interview at Penn this week :) If I get into Penn, I will likely attend.

Have you interviewed at Penn yet? Have you chosen a program?

I already paid the deposit for Drexel and have basically committed to that program. I have not heard at all from Penn, so I figure I'm already out of the running for that.

For the BSN applicants only, if you don't get an interview I don't think it means you were rejected.. but I could be wrong. I feel like I've read that somewhere before, and also, they've already sent out rejection notices to applicants who didn't receive interviews to the BSN-MSN portion. So you may still be in the running! Don't give up hope until you receive a rejection notice!

i also applied for only the absn portion, and will be interviewing tomorrow. eek! i was recently accepted into suny stony brook's absn program in new york, but am hoping to go to upenn if i get in -- the support, study abroad & research opportunities really make upenn's nursing program one of a kind. best of luck everyone, i believe everything will work out for us one way or the other :)

I'm so anxious!!! Just called because I was accepted elsewhere and wanted to see if I would hear from penn before my other deposit is due... Looks like we won't be hearing by feb 4th but likely the next week! Ahhhhh! I hope we all get in'n
