Update on request re: screening mammograms

Thank you to all of you who sent notes of support and who said prayers for me. Yesterday, I underwent a lumpectomy and sentinal node biopsy. The frozen section was NEGATIVE so they did not remove any more nodes. I am too sore to do a happy dance, but I am doing one inside! :dance:The surgeon thinks we got clean margins, too. I know that the lab still has lots of work to do but the initial news is ALL GOOD!

I'll see the oncologist again on Monday to form the plan for my future care. Thank you again for all of your prayers and good wishes. It helped more than you can know!

(I hope that any of you who are late on your annual screening mammogram will make that call to schedule it in the morning! Don't you feel sorry for my patients?! I work in a high risk OB/GYN clinic!) :rotfl:

Hugs to all,

Robin
