She hasn't learned at all. When her manager called her in she denied ever saying anything, so the person who heard her was called in. CNA was caught in a bald-faced lie. Was counseled, said she saw the error of her ways, etc.
Yesterday she spent the day in ICU. Mind you, she hasn't been there long enough to know everyone. She had never been in ICU before. She told the staff there that the witness lied, and everyone is against her, etc. Of course one of the ICU nurses called the ER and told RN about it.
The nurse she gossiped about saw her in the hallway and CNA insisted on talking with her. RN refused, said that CNA can say whatever she has to say to the boss, who will pass it on if it's important. CNA got huffy when RN walked away and said "Nobody listens to me around here."
This chick is 30 years old but she's acting like a 10-year-old!

I had to go back to your other posts to hear the scoop on the story. Why are they traveling her to all areas of the hospital. If one floor can't stand her then she definately needs to be fired. She's really making a name for herself now. If she only knew what people REALLY thought of her.

She's digging her own grave
Cherish, she was always meant to be on medsurg, but on her first day of externship she was mistakenly sent to the ER. When the mistake was found out, she said she really liked the ER and at the time we thought she was working out fine, so she stayed. It was always in the plans that after 3 months she would go to medsurg to orient, and that happened last week. I don't know how she ended up in ICU, though, since CNAs are never assigned there.
