You considering the traditional program or the RN-BSN program? I'm doing the RN-BSN and am loving it.

I am pretty sure that the Traditional BSN and Accelerated BSN are somewhat difficult to get into as are almost all nursing schools in the area.

I am currently enrolled in the RN-BSN program and am very satisfied so far. The faculty have been wonderful to work with and this semester I actually feel like I am learning things I did not learn in my ADN program. Many individuals enrolled in RN-BSN programs feel like they do not learn anything new besides some extra theory stuff.

I was actually thinking of the accelerated program and i just got an email from an adviser there.

thanks

Those of you who are doing RN to BSN, are you taking it online or in person. I am taking prereqs to get my BSN. I plan to take it online. Is it mainly papers or mainly tests? Thanks for any info. you can give.

Well the classes are a mix of papers and tests. some of the nursing classes have papers every week and mix it up with an occasional test, others are minimal with papers and have more tests. Kind of depends upon which class it is.

Thanks! I know that some programs are all papers and I hate writing papers, I much, much prefer to do a test. Thanks again for your response.

I think I saw in another post that you graduated from LCC. I graduated from there as well and am doing the RN-BSN completion program online. They are also offering the RN-BSN classes at the university center at LCC. For the online classes it is mainly weekly to discussion boards. I took 3 classes last semester and I only wrote 3 papers for those classes and had about 3 exams for each class. I am taking 2 classes this semester and they both required weekly discussion board postings. One class has 3 exams and the other has 2 and they both require 1 paper. Overall I don't think the work load is too bad. I worked full time and did the 3 classes last semester and didn't ever feel overwhelmed. Hope some of that info helps.
