UofT 2023 Fall intake

Published

Hi everyone,

It seems like there's no forum for uoft 2023 intake, so here I am to start one. Let's get through the admission journey together! Feel free to share any updates on your admission process, and please share your experiences, backgrounds and questions!

Yes, I think that makes more sense because one of my friends who applied to York is still doing her undergrad until the end of April, so they gave her a conditional offer, and asked her to send her final transcript later to show her GPA/final grades. Similarly, I got an offer from UofT's nursing program last year and I was still finishing my undergrad (it was not conditional since I finished all my prerequisites in my third year and not in my final year). I would say email them just to make sure!

For my Trent application under status it says "accepted elsewhere". IDK what this means is it a rejection?

My first thought is that this means they've accepted you into a different program?

I feel like if you have prerequisite courses in your Winter term, like stats, you might be one of the ones to get a later offer. If they have all your prerequisite grades and all that's left is your final GPA, they probably send out conditional offers.

I just finished physiology through the school of continuing studies, and they want the grade sent in asap. They won't accept you until they see the grades in prerequisite courses.

Not all of the offers will be conditional because some people applying are finished with everything. But, if you're in school now, the offer will prob be conditional based on your GPA.

I've seen people getting offers while finishing their prereqs from last year. So I don't think that matters if you are still doing one or two prereqs this term. But yes, the offer will be conditional I think.

I was offered conditional admission last year on the first round of emails while I was completing my anatomy/phys course! So I don't think they necessarily wait to send out conditional offers

Just curious - what was the condition? Did they say you needed to achieve a certain grade in the course?

Unfortunately they require a half course in both physiology and anatomy. I was in a similar situation as you which is why I had to enroll in human anatomy this semester. I had a full course equivalent in physiology but that wasn't enough. You should ask them to assess that neuroanatomy course and see if they allow it

Heard back from york earlier this week! Turns out neuroanatomy counts as the anatomy prerequisite for anyone who might be in a similar situation as me (since they haven't responded to my email- so I'm assuming they don't LOL)

Congrats! What are your conditions?

Just to finish the prerequisite courses and maintain an overall minimum GPA of B+.

Yeah there was a certain grade I needed but I don't think it was anything crazy high! Like a B maybe!

Has anyone heard back from U of T yet? I just heard back from Humber and got accepted!

I heard last year the first round of acceptances for U of T didn't come out until April 8th (first Friday of the month), and then new acceptances got released every Friday after that. Hopefully we hear back soon!
