UOFA CRNA 2024 START

Published

Hi guys! Just starting a post to see who's applying this year ?

Hello! I'm in the process of applying this year also. I am wondering exactly how the KIRA asssessment/interview will work this year?

Last year, applicants were given the essay prompt prior to the KIRA assessment to have their essay written and ready to be submitted during it. However, this year I haven't seen any details about the prompt. Do you happen to know where we can find it and if it is even available prior to doing the KIRA assessment?

I didn't even think to look up the prompts ahead of time! I just went into it trying to put my best foot forward and hoping for the best. Always feels so awkward filming yourself like that.

Did it ask for you to submit a professional statement/essay? Also, how long did the entire Kira assessment etc take in total?

The professional statement/essay is submitted on NursingCAS. The entire Kira assessment probably took me 45-60min? That's with creating a profile, going through the practice questions, and doing the assessment itself. Just be genuine. Trust yourself and the process. You've prepared for this.

It's so weird, I can't find anything about the prompt or a place to submit the professional statement/essay on the Documents section of Nursing CAS. Would you mind telling me exactly where on the application you found the prompt for the essay and did you just submit it under documents?

Sorry, you're right. I got it confused with another application. There is no place for an essay on NursingCAS. I think they're relying on your Kira assessment to get to know you. You got this!

Hey all- applying for this application cycle as well. Looking forward to it! Big question mark on how competitive my application will be this time around, but I suppose we will all know soon enough.

Have you applied in the past? I'm nervous about the Kira assessment and how heavily they weigh it

I'm very curious about the Kira assessment as well. I have not applied in the past. I'm from Arizona, and really only interested in attending the University of Arizona for CRNA school so figured I would apply again next year if I don't make the cut this year. Have you applied previously?

I haven't, this is my first time applying to CRNA school!

Hi all,

Starting my application with deadline approaching soon. Does anyone know someone in the program? I am wodering if living in AZ for all 3 years will be a required since it says it's a hybrid program? Obviously once we started clinicals I imagine most sites are in AZ.
