They're pretty common with all professions that deal with standing for long periods of time, keep trying compression socks but get a new pair of shoes (Algeria, or other heeled clog) or perhaps some gel insoles, I believe once you have spider veins you have them for life though unless you get laser treatments etc.
Mirandaaa - I thought about getting tattooed, that's how ugly it is for me. But they said tattoo artists don't work on veiny areas. They always avoid that part.
Oh not true at all! My boyfriend owns a tattoo shop and has been a tattoo artist for 13 years. He'll tattoo anything except for excessive scarring. Spider veins don't really stick out of the skin like vericose veins do; you should be fine!
There are some creams and things you can also try.
I'm only 22 and am beginning to get spider veins all over my legs; nothing too unsightly yet and really you can only see them if you're REALLY looking for them. Plus I'm an ungodly shade of pale and translucent so you can see just about every vein in my body anyways. I'm pretty sure I get it from my grandma; she has terrible spider veins on her legs. More tattoos for me!

I began to see more spider veins in my legs, before it wasn't that noticeable but now they are more prominent. Am I the only one who's having problems with this unsightly reddish streaks in the lower extremities? And what do you do prevent or minimize them? I tried compression stockings and sock and they didn't work for me.
