I read the previous thread about how to obtain an unrestricted nursing license but I am still confused how you apply for one or your current state license is unrestricted if you have no suspension or marks on your current state license.

A license becomes restricted as the result of an action by the State Board of Nursing.
You are issued a license without restrictions, without sanctions, when you first are granted one. Screw that up.....and you get conditions, restrictions, suspensions.....etc.
Start out good and stay that way :)

I'm confused...if you ahve no restrictions you have an unrestricted license. The you apply for license by endorsement. What are you asking?
I *think* the OP is asking because she read a thread in which a nurse who had sanctions (a restricted license) was seeking to resolve that and obtain an UNrestricted license.
Very different scenario! At least, that's what I understand the situation to be...the OP is confused in thinking that there are 'different' licenses in place and one must apply for the one that is desired. Not the case.
