I read on reddit that someone with a 92.1 got in for the spring 2020 cohort!

Do we count chem 108 attempt points? I've read past threads were confused on that

That's reassuring news!!!

I'm not sure about the chem points. As far as I know, they don't count but if they have changed it, it works for me and will put me up in a more desirable score!

Hello everyone, level 1 nursing student here. I got accepted into the nursing program at UNLV this spring semester. If anyone has questions feel free to ask! The cutoff for spring 2020 was around 92 - 93. Usually spring and summer is less competitive. Like someone said earlier, financial aid doesn't start until fall, so a lot of people wont be applying to summer semester. Good luck everyone!

Hi! Thank you for being so willing to answer our questions! Do u think summer would be less competitive that spring?

I was trying to look up any summer 2019 unlv nursing posts on here or reddit to give you the most recent information but none were really active. So the only information I have to go off of is, when I talked to the health science advisor back in april of 2019 she told me that for 2018 the cutoff for spring was 92, summer was 93 and fall was 94, she said thats the usual trend. But the increase to 72 students per semester started in fall 2019, so the cutoff may be slightly different compared to those in 2018.

For the application points, is chem 108 included for attempt and grade? At my signing session, it was one of the highlights sections that were asked to have an initial next to. I was wondering if you could confirm that?

Unless they changed it, the chem 108 class is counted for points in terms of the grade but not for attempted points.

Hi Guys, I’ll have my signing session soon and I’m just wondering if I should bring anything and what to expect. I haven’t been getting any emails or the application send.

Bring your hesi print out and the nursing application sheet. They will email you the week of your signing session with the application to be printed out but you can find it online via unlv website.

As for the signing session itself, you go in to the designated room along with the other applicants and wait to be called over to where the advisor is and just agree, acknowledge, initial and sign and that's it. They give you a take home copy of the Affirmation of Student Readiness, your applying grades and the BSN readiness sheet when you are finished.

Best of luck to you, I hope we all get in and meet soon on the contract signing!
